Operator and Fee Arrangements 營運機構及收費安排
The eMPF Platform Company Limited (the eMPF Company) was established in March 2021 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of MPFA. It operates the eMPF Platform as a public utility on not-for-profit and cost-recovery principles.
The eMPF Company provides scheme administration services to MPF trustees and charges them an eMPF Platform fee. The administration fee a trustee charges is capped at the Platform fee it pays to the eMPF Company: a lower administration fee is permitted, so the two fees need not be equal. Phased Roll-out and Mandatory Use 分批加入及強制使用
The eMPF Platform began operating in June 2024. All MPF trustees must use it to perform administration functions for the MPF schemes they administer. Schemes joined in phases, starting with trustees managing smaller amounts of MPF assets and progressing to those managing larger amounts.
By 30 April 2026, every MPF scheme had joined the Platform. All scheme members, employers and self-employed persons must submit scheme administration instructions to it; this requirement covers more than employers or newly opened accounts. Managing Members’ Accounts Across Schemes 計劃成員的跨計劃帳戶管理
Scheme members can use the eMPF Platform to view their MPF portfolios wherever and whenever they wish, and manage accounts held under different schemes through the same platform.
Functions include account opening, contributions, fund switching and account consolidation. Real-time, secure and paperless services help members manage their MPF accounts more effectively. Electronic Contributions for Employers and Self-employed Persons 僱主及自僱人士的電子供款
Employers and self-employed persons can handle MPF contributions electronically through the eMPF Platform, reducing paperwork and human errors. This helps reduce inadvertent delays or contribution defaults and the default contribution surcharges that may result.
